In this paper, the laser cladding technique was used to cladding FeCoCrNiAl2.1+ WCX high entropy alloy on the high speed steel W18Cr4V. The effects of laser cladding power and WC content on the microstructure and properties of the coating were systematically studied. It was found that the coating was closely bonded to the substrate, and the surface was relatively smooth with few cracks. FeCoCrNiAl2.1+ WCX high entropy alloy coatings mainly formed simple phase with body centered cubic structure. The microstructure of the coating exhibited very fine near equiaxed structure. The width of the bonding zone increased with the increase of laser power. The microstructure between the coating and the bonding zone were columnar, and the width of the columnar zone increased with the increase of laser power and WC content. With the increase of WC content, the hardness of the coating increases continuously. The mechanical of bonding zone between the coating and the substrate is the best, the width of the bonding zone is about 0.5nm. And the hardness of the bonding zone can reach up to 700HV.
